Aggression is one of the last dirty words in our culture.

You can be crass, you can be rude, you can even be profane, but, oh, aggressive, don't be

aggressive, except it's wrong, dead wrong.

I promise you nothing of meaning and transcendence will come into your life passively.

It's time for you to get into the arena to push back against the passive, mediocre existence.

I know that's a really, really dirty phrase to say, especially if you're a pastor by

Dave, I'll say it again, I want to win. And I hope you do too. I'll tell you what our problem is.

We poo-poo competition. We think it's evil to compete. We think it's unloving to try to win.

We think everybody should get participation trophies and nobody should actually feel better that they did better than somebody else.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. That's exactly the kind of passive nirvana that people want to exist and it just isn't real.

You have a better life because you make a better life. You have a better life because you push for

a better life. You have a better relationship with God because you want a better relationship

with God and you push for a better relationship with God because you want a better relationship with God and you push for a better

relationship with God not because you're sitting around waiting from to dip his little sugar

finger in the drink of your life and make everything be all sweet competition winning

I like it I like it a lot and you should like it too and we're going to learn from

somebody who is a competition guru a winning guru we're going to learn from somebody who's learned
