Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,972, and today we are talking about six things you can do to get better at anything you do. Number one is to commit when you're laser focused, you take the guest workout. You no longer wonder if you're going to eat healthy or not, if you're going to work out or not, if you're going to keep going or not, if you're going to train hard or not, etc. You do it because it's required. Number two, practice noticing. Notice when you're distracted. Notice how stress affects you. Notice when your actions

0:40.1

don't align with your purpose. Notice your thoughts. Notice your breath. Notice when others are in need

0:46.9

and remember that you can't change what you're not aware of. Number three, find a way. Don't underestimate your ability to figure it out.

0:57.8

You'll need some guidance, but what you need more than anything is to put in the work.

1:03.4

As you consistently produce, you'll gradually find pieces to the puzzle, your puzzle.

1:09.4

Struggle, you're going to fail, adjust, and enjoy the journey along the way.

1:14.7

Number three, get better is more important than looking good. When it comes to practice,

1:19.7

it's not about looking good, it's about getting better. Get outside of your comfort zone.

1:24.4

Mistakes will be made, but don't let your ego or emotions impede you from

1:28.4

learning the lessons those mistakes provide. The last one was four, sorry. Number five,

1:35.0

addition by subtraction. Before you add another tool, another step, or another method to get the

1:41.3

results you want, pause to ask yourself, what do I need to stop doing? Eliminating

1:47.6

an inefficiency might be the thing that unlocks the progress you're looking for. And last but

1:54.4

not least, number six, on purpose, with purpose. It's not just about working hard. It's about

2:00.5

working hard on the right things.

2:02.8

Don't mistake activity for productivity. More isn't better. Better is better.

2:10.2

Have a great day and we'll do it again tomorrow.
