Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,960. Today we're

0:07.4

talking about failing and Amy Edmondson out of Harvard Business School. She says that not all failures

0:14.4

are created equal. There are three types of failures she describes. Preventable failures,

1:23.8

taking a shot at going after your dreams, even though the odds are against you.

1:28.3

Putting yourself out there for that job to make the team, the position, the school, and getting declined.

1:35.3

These are all painful and we can learn lessons from each one, but it's the failures we experience when we are pushing the limits that help us maximize our potential.

1:45.5

We want to stay away from the preventable failures, the failures that are the byproduct of

1:51.1

effort, attitude, attention, and detail that stem from a lack of caring.
