Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,938. Today I'm

to read an excerpt from the book called Make Something Wonderful. It's a biography of Steve Jobs.

And the quote goes like this, quote, think of your life as a rainbow arching across the horizon of this

world. You appear appear have a chance to

blaze in the sky and then you disappear close quote the lesson behind that what he's trying to say

is to go for it go for it like life depends on it why Why? Because it does. It literally does. And when he goes on to say

is the two endpoints of everyone's rainbow are birth and death. We have a very, very short time on this

earth and we don't know when it's going to end and so steve jobs lived his life

to make a dent in the world to do something crazy to swing for the fences and i think a lot of times

we live in this world and we listen to people and we think about probabilities and we try to play

it safe because it's comfortable at the end of life i'd imagine that we're going to look back and not just to regret the things we did, but to regret the things we didn't do.

And the chances we should have taken and the risks and the shots we should have attempted.

And so here is to blazing our own rainbows in the sky, as Steve Jobs says, to swing for the fences,

to go for it because we've only have one life to live.

And he goes on to say later in a commencement address to Stanford many, many years ago,

you should go watch this podcast, this commencement address in

YouTube. And Steve Jobs says, essentially, remembering that you are going to die, should be essentially

summarizing, should be the thing that drives you to give the best you absolutely can. It is a short

life. And so might as well go for it.

And so my question for you today to consider is if you were to go for it, if you were to

swing for the fences, number one, what does that look like?

What would it mean?
