Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,927. And today's topic is on leadership.

Many of you listening to this are a leader of an organization, a leader of a team, a leader of a family, a leader of your department, staff.

And some of you might not lead other people, but that's what you're

aspiring to do. You're aspiring to get in a position where you can lead a group. And some of you

aren't aspiring to it. Just because of your habits and your performance, you're going to be asked

to be in leadership positions. And so what I want to do is

read to you this excerpt of how what great leaders, questions great leaders ask. And here it is,

quote, what is your intent towards others? What exactly do you want from and for them? If the sole

answer is a boost to my career, then chances are

you belong at the bottom rung of an organization rather than the top. Now, Tom Brady, going along with

this, is known as not only being a great football player, a great quarterback, but also a great leader.

And listen to what he says about

leadership, quote, by the way, and he said this after winning his seventh Super Bowl. So he said this,

quote, you better get out of the, if you don't care about the people you work with, you're hosed,

and you better get out of that leadership role. Or you better find a way to

become more caring and empathetic to the people you're working with. People want to do their best,

and you've got to give them tools to be their best. You've got to motivate everybody. And it obviously

starts at the top. And everybody is going to look at the leader and say,

is this the person I want to follow? And so as you think about your life, as you think about your career and

where you're at, the question I would invite you to ask yourself is, are you the type of person

that's worth following? And do your actions align with it?

Do you care about the people, deeply care about the people who you're leading? And do they know?
