I came across a quote today that I really like. And the reason I liked it so much is because it's true.

And have you ever come across those quotes where you hear it and you're thinking, wow, that is so true.

How did I not think about that before?

It's by Morgan Howzel.

He is the author of the book, The Psychology of Money.

And it goes like this, quote, bad luck is easy to identify when you fail.

And good luck is easy to identify when you fail, and good luck is easy to ignore when you succeed.

And it is so true.

Whenever we struggle, whenever we fail, and you particularly see it in sports,

oh, it was the umpire's fault, it was a referee's fault. It was bad weather. It was,

we didn't feel good. We got these injuries. You just think about, you start to list all of these

variables of, uh, of unlucky factors that contributed to why we failed. Lots of excuses, lots of complaining. But when we win, it's all because of excuses, lots of complaining.

But when we win, it's all because of us.

It's because of our preparation.

It's because of our strategy, our prowess, how good we are, how strong we are, how fast we are.

However, very, very, not often do we pause and consider how luck contributed to our success.

The ball bounced in our favor. Maybe we've got a good call from the referee or the empire.

Maybe the market tended to swing our way.

We just happen to be in the right place at the right time. And so today my invitation to you

consider is this. During the bad times, pause to consider the bad luck in addition to the bad luck that you have but also consider
