Good morning and welcome to the Increasing Your Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Suwa, episode 1,877. Today I want to read a list that I recently received on the Farnham Street blog. It's called Nine Sources of Advantage. Here on the Increasinger Impact podcast, we often talk about principles to help you have the

edge to be able to perform at the highest level and to separate you from the rest.

These are nine things that I think are very beneficial.

They're simple but practical.

So number one, source number one of having an advantage, raw talent and intelligent.

Some people are just naturally better and smarter.

Advantage number two, hard work.

Some people work harder than others.

Number three, differentiation, seeing the world differently. Doing something different. Reading different books,

interpreting the same information differently. Number four, process and discipline. Creating a process

and following it. Working out every day is a great example. Number five. Advantage number five. Talent collector. Some people have the

ability to hire the best people and get the most out of them. Number six is patience. A lack of

patience changes the outcome. Number seven, ability to take pain. Are you willing to look like an idiot to get better?

How much risk are you willing to take? And importantly, can you handle the losses?

Advantage number eight is temperament, keeping your head when everyone else is losing theirs.

And number nine is luck.

Just luck.

Some people have the advantage of being in the right place at the right time. And so my question to you is which one of these nine sources of advantage come easier to you.

Tend to be natural for you. And which one do you want to get better at

it's time to go through them really quick number one raw talent and intelligence two is hard
