Good morning and welcome to the Increase Reimpaq podcast. I'm Justin Stua. Episode 1841.

You are the most important person you speak to every day. And it's very easy to fall into the trap of beating up on yourself.

It's easy to fall into the trap of demeaning yourself and

thinking worst case scenario and doubting yourself and your abilities and focusing on the things

that you cannot control. Now, some of us, the self-talk that we have derives from our parents.

It derives from the adults as little kids who bombarded us with these negative thoughts. And a lot of times, the people who filled our minds

with negative thoughts are the people who love us the most. And as hard as it is to believe,

sometimes these people who love us the most, they have the best intentions.

They're pushing us or they pushed us to be the best version of ourselves.

They expected more from us.

And as a result, at times, it felt like we couldn't, we were never enough.

When we got an A minus, why didn't we get an A? When got an a minus why didn't we get an a when we

played well why didn't we play better when we made the team why didn't we start and when we started

why weren't we an all-star and so this constant dialogue that we got from people sometimes got in a way

of us catching ourselves winning.

And so my invitation, my invitation to you is because you are the most important person

you speak to every day.

My invitation to you, my challenge to you starting today is to speak more powerfully

to yourself.

Speak more productively to yourself.

Speak purposely, purposefully to yourself, speak more productively to yourself, speak purposely, purposefully to yourself.
