Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact podcast. I'm Justin Sue, episode 1834.

Years ago, I was asked by somebody who I invited into my inner circle to help me make a decision on what I wanted to do with my career.

And the first thing that I was asked was, are you running towards something or are you running

away from something? This was a question that I had not considered. And it caused me to pause and

reflect and ask myself, was I running towards something or was I running away from something?

And then recently I just read this quote by James Clear when he says,

it generally feels better to run towards something than to run away from something.

Focus on what is pulling you in, not what you're trying to avoid.

Now, as you sit and listen to this, my question to you is, what are you running towards

and what are you running from?

As you take a look at those two things, I want you to notice the feeling that is involved

with both examples.

What does it feel like to run towards something and what does it feel

like to run away from something? What's your energy like? How does it occupy the space in your mind?

How does it affect how you use your time? And so my invitation to you today is to identify the things that you can run towards.

Those things generally are motivating.

They pull you.

They inspire you.

They excite you versus the things you're running away from, which creates fear, worry,

doubt, and causes you to experience procrastination to avoid the inevitable in some cases.

And so hopefully you can be like me in terms of not be like me. I'm definitely not

recommending to be like me in many cases, but be like me in a sense that this answering this question can help
