Good morning and welcome to the Increase Your Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,823. I recently heard a story about Steve Jobs, how he saw a cabinet. He was fascinated by it. He thought it was beautiful. And then he decided to do something to test how beautiful it really is.

He looks behind the cabinet.

It's like a big desk.

And he notices that it wasn't finished.

Or at least the people who created it didn't think anyone would look behind.

And they didn't really finish the job.

cabinet wasn't beautiful because whoever created it got sloppy with the part that they thought

But they didn't pay attention to, they didn't give attention to details on the part that

And he goes on to say that the entire product is beautiful, which is why it led him to making

the inside of an iPhone or a computer beautiful, the way they designed the inside.

Take any Apple product apart and you should see beauty, sophistication, a cleanliness.

And as I was thinking about that, I thought about that with our lives.

A lot of times it's easy to show the public facing side the best version of ourselves. We want to

show the fans. We want to show our friends. We want to show the people at work, our best sides. However,

in the quiet private lives that we live, in the quiet private chambers of our own

heart, we can sometimes get really sloppy and we can sometimes not give our best effort.
