Good morning and welcome to the Increasing Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1,795.

For those of you who don't know, my youngest daughter is an actor. And on June 16th, she is going to make her Disney Channel debut as she stars in a new Disney Channel TV show called Pretty Freaking Scary.

Now, she's been acting for a long time in 2019. She played The Rock's Daughter in the movie

Hobbs and Shaw, did a couple of other shows as well. But what's really interesting,

the point of this podcast episode is, so my wife is involved in the industry as well,

writing screenwrights and producing and getting ready to produce. And the way they watch

movies is very interesting. When you sit next to them, they have these conversations with each

other, talking about the script, talking about the decision that the producers decided to go, they have these conversations with each other, talking about the script, talking about

the decision that the producers decided to go, the decision of the directors on how they decided

to shoot the sequencing of the scenes, the acting decisions, and the facial expressions of the

actors. It's really interesting to hear them. I'm not saying it ruins the movie because it doesn't,

but it's fascinating to hear them talk through these decisions that the people behind the scene

who created the movie, the decisions that they made. Now, I asked them why they do it and they say

because when you're an actor, when you're a producer, when you're a writer, you want to learn from those who are doing it. You want to learn from others. And not just learn to say this is how we're going to do it, but you want to learn and say, what are other options that that person had? What are other directions the director could have went? What are other ways the actor could have

portrayed this, the different inflections of the voice and the tone and the speed? There are many

different ways to do things. And so my invitation to you is as you take a look at people who you

admire, who you wish to be like, instead of putting them on a pedestal you pause and ask that

and ask yourself what made them make that what made them make that decision what other decisions

did they could they have made what do you disagree with i would have done it this way or maybe my

skill set doesn't allow me to do what that person did i would probably done it this way. Or maybe my skill set doesn't allow me to do what

that person did. I would probably do it this way. I would make this decision. There are so many

opportunities to learn from so many different people and rather just sit in awe and absorb the
