Rick Rubin is one of the best producers of all time, and he's the one who's been behind many of the best

albums since the early 80s. He's worked with Metallica and Eminem, Adel, Red Hot Chili Peppers,

Johnny Cash, Beastie Boys, Dixie Chicks, and so many others. He was heard saying that

he never tries to judge an idea based on the description of an idea. And so he's always willing to listen to an idea and people

will say some of the artists or the groups will say, nah, we can't do this. We can't do that.

But he's like, no, let's try it. Let's go out there and listen to it. He says that he says somebody

Eminem said this about him. Try whatever. Don't be afraid to try

whatever. Even if the idea in the beginning sounds stupid, because a lot of ideas in the beginning

stages sound stupid. Rick Rubin's mantra is try it anyway.

And I think that's powerful for life too.

There may be an idea that you're thinking about that sounds just so dumb, just so out there.

Who are you to do this?

Well, this will never work.

Well, the only way to know if it will truly work is if you try.

Because how many times have you had great ideas?

How many times have you had these ideas that you thought for sure we're going to work?

And they fell flat on his face.

And so my question to you is, when has there been a time you tried something?

You didn't know it was going to work.

You didn't know how it was going to be.

But you tried it and you know what?
