Good morning, and welcome to the Increasing Impact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode

0:04.6

1,790. For those of you who don't know, Kobe Bryant is and was one of my favorite

0:13.6

athletes, born and raised in Los Angeles, loved the Lakers. He was fun to watch him

0:19.3

when all those championships. And I still find myself going back and listening to

0:23.0

some of his interviews and sharing them with the athletes and the professionals that

0:27.7

I work with. And I recently came across an interview that he did, and I just love it.

0:33.6

It reminded me of a quote that I really love. And Kobe goes on to say this. He says

love about that is something that we talk about all the time on this podcast, embracing

1:28.4

the boredom of consistency day after day to inch a little bit closer to the best version

1:35.6

of yourself every single day. You're comparing yourself to who you were yesterday, to the

1:40.3

father you were yesterday, to the parent, the mother you were yesterday, to the person

1:44.6

who you were yesterday, getting a little bit better, but that requires being honest with

1:48.9

yourself and then identifying what you need to do to improve. And so my question to you,

1:54.6

my exercise for today, think about is, think about a time in your life that you can look

2:00.8

back and say that it was perseverance and hard work that got you your results. And not necessarily
