episode 1,787. Today we're talking about your strengths, the things that you

are really good at, the your character traits that help you be the best

parent you can be, the best athlete you can be, the best teammate, student,

teacher, whatever you, whatever labels that you have for yourself. And one thing

that I would like to just make you aware of is that for every strength that we

have, there is a shadow side that is tied to it. I was once working with somebody

who told me that the feedback that they keep getting from people is that they

are just too blunt. We actually they actually use a different word, but they're

just too blunt to open and to in your face. Now as we started to discover this

person's values, we ended up realizing that he valued honesty. And what came

off as being too blunt, too much of a jerk, it was actually not, not it, it

wasn't a problem, the problem wasn't his, a frontness, I don't know if that's

word, but the problem was his communication because he values honesty and the

shadow side of honesty is sometimes it's too honest with relationships that are

not as strong and that can't bear the weight of truth. Another person felt

that they got locked all over, but their value that they held close was their

kindness. Their kindness ended up turning into a weakness for some people. Another

person said that their, their, their confidence was wavering and probably

because according to them is because their humble humility is a huge value to

that person. And when you're really, really humble, a lot of times you put
