Good morning. Welcome to the Increase Your Impact podcast. Justin Sua here, episode 1,675. Today is a reminder

to pay very close attention to the story you are telling yourself, the story you're telling

yourself about your situation, the story you're telling yourself about your ability,

the story you're telling yourself about your ability, the story you're telling yourself about other people, about things you can control, about the future, about the

past, the story you tell yourself will impact your emotions. It impacts your actions. It impacts the way you treat people.

It impacts the way you treat yourself.

There might be a story you're telling yourself that you believe, that you bought,

and more importantly, that you own that is not helping you, that is not serving you.

And maybe the story was true at one time.

Maybe it's a story that your parents told you or a coach told you or a teacher told you that you always believed.

And you always said that about yourself, a label that on gave to you that you adopted and now you

identify with it that could be dangerous at times it can be powerful and helpful at times but at

other times it could be a story that you need to change and in some cases it should be a story

that you need to change because then you go on and pass that story

to somebody else and that they pass to somebody else and somebody else and that somebody else might

be your children might be a loved one might be somebody you really care about and so my invitation

to you today is to check yourself and it really take a look at the stories that you are telling yourself about failure,

about success, about hard work, about achieving your dreams, about going after what you want.

Because there are people who are succeeding out there in doing these things that you would love to do,

not because they're more capable, not because they're smarter,

not because they have better opportunities, but because of the story they're telling themselves.
