Good morning and welcome to the Increased Rimpact Podcast. I'm Justin Sua, episode 1236. I recently came

across this video with this quote that I really like and I wanted to share with you.

Here it is, quote, if you want to be exceptional, you're going to have to be different.

That's the cost. You can't fit in and be exceptional at the same time. Both paths

come with discomfort just in different forms. When you choose to fit in, you deal with internal

conflict because deep down, you know you're not being fully you. But when you choose to be exceptional,

you face external conflict because people will see you as different, and that makes them uncomfortable. Pick your pain.

One keeps you stuck, the other helps you grow. And when your friends say you've changed,

remind yourself that they don't know how to say you've grown. Close

quote. In this episode, it's a simple reminder that if you find yourself deviating from your

friends alone and walking this path that many don't want to walk with you, you're on the exceptional path.

It is literally the exception. And this is encouragement to keep going. Encouragement to build yourself up.

Encouragement to do that hard thing. Because like the quote says, there's a cost at not doing this there's a cost of

mediocrity there is regret that comes with it there's pain of staying the same that comes with it however

the cost of being a better version of yourself the cost pursuing greatness, the cost of stepping into the unknown

to see how good you can be is also a reward on the other side that is more fulfilling and that you

will be able to look back on and be proud of yourself for.

And this process will help you carry through the tough times that you're going to face ahead

and help you pull others along the way.

So my invitation to you today is to take a look at your situation and ask how much it will

cost to be great and then pay the price.
