1,217. And today's message is built around a quote I recently heard from Larry Cassidy.

And he said this, quote, of the many things about which we are unclear of or which we are

unaware, our impact on others is at or near the top. As a coach,

there are so many things you know. You know your system. You know your plays. You know how you're

going to build a culture, how you're going to connect with players, you're focused on

efforts, on execution, you spend time breaking down film, coaching up your coaching staff,

connecting with parents, building game plans, all of that. You know what I'm talking about,

all of that. But there may be something that you're overlooking. You don't always see the impact

you're having. And I'm not always see the impact you're having. And I'm not talking

about the impact you're having on the X&Os or stats or wins. I'm talking about the way that you make

players feel, the way you shape how they think, how you influence them, how they carry themselves on and off the field. You might be so consumed in the

sport that it's just another practice. It's just another meeting. You're approaching it as just

another drill. But you might not pay attention or notice that that little comment that you

made to a player, that small gesture of belief, those might be moments that stick with them forever.

And the hard part is they probably won't tell you. You might never know the positive weight

your words are caring, that and that you might be

speaking things to your team, and it might not seem like it's landing, but it really is.

Your players, your coaches, people are watching how you handle adversity.

They watch how you talk to the last player on the depth chart.

They watch how you bounce back after a loss. They watch how you talk to the last player on the depth chart. They watch how you
