we're talking about decision making, particularly or specifically decision making without all of the

information. This is a common experience that leaders and coaches have to go through.

Leadership lives in the gray.

It's in the gaps.

It's in the tension between what you know and what you need to know.

You know as a leader, as a coach, as a high performer, that you don't have all the data and you don't have full clarity,

but you still have to make a move. And that becomes hard because we're wired to want certainty.

We're wired to want security. We want more feedback, more input, more proof, but certainty is a luxury. And in the

environment that we operate in, many of us operate in, we're not going to have that. And great

leadership isn't about waiting for all the information. It's about being able to make calculated

decisions and deciding anyway, even without all of the information.

It takes courage to decide like this. It takes courage to act without a guarantee to say,

you know what, based on what I know, what I value and what matters most, this is what we are going

to do. It doesn't mean that you're

reckless. Great leaders, they don't ignore information. They're able to filter it. They're able to

decide and distinguish between what is signal and what is noise. And they ask that question, okay, what is signal right now?

What is noise?

What matters?

What doesn't matter?

What actually moves the needle and what is just background chatter?

And once these great leaders find it, they move with conviction.
