0:24.0	Yes, me too glad to be here with you. So since this is the week of Thanksgiving,
0:31.0	we decided to talk a little bit about gratitude today and our title for the episode today is

0:45.2	Susan and I we're not just going to have a normal, you know, maybe what you would hear talk at
0:50.5	church on gratitude. We're gonna have a little twist on it, Susan, because that's what we do. We talk about sometimes even the complicatedness of being grateful.
1:01.0	Well, gratitude feels kind of complicated to me this year, Cynthia. It's a tough year.
1:06.0	2020 has been a tough year. I can't decide. I'm first of all, I can't believe we're
1:09.1	to Thanksgiving already. I can't decide if this year has been five minutes long or five years long but
1:15.0	Something's been going on something's gone on with it and it just feels like
1:21.3	in some ways my gratitude feels a little bit more poignant and close to my heart just because it's been a really genuinely difficult year and in some ways I want to just say really I still have to be thankful anyway.
1:36.0	Right, that's what I was thinking this just before we started recording I was scribbling out my Thanksgiving menu and part of me was like
1:45.0	like I'm using the pencil and I'm kind of like I don't want to make this menu I don't want to make this menu I don't want to feed you know my family this year I just want to go to McDonald's, you know, which actually is going to come in later into ours.
1:56.7	Yes it is. Talk about Thanksgiving. Like part of me things. I just want to go to McDonald's
2:01.1	this year because I'm mad and I'm upset about all these restrictions and everything with the pandemic and then part of me is like
2:08.0	Food is all we have left. I am so grateful to make this menu so So I'm kind of a jumbled mess, even trying to plan a Thanksgiving menu
