It has been one week since we lived by the four hour work week by Tim Farris and you know what

that means. It's time for another by the book, mini episode. Woohoo!

That's right. It's time for another by the book, Up A Log. The week we're looking at the

aftermath of living by the four hour work week by Tim Farris. Not surprisingly, we got a lot of

folks writing in saying they took issue with the book. So let's start off hearing from them.

Yes. First off, we have a letter from Alex. She says, I just finished the four hour work week

episode and I was thinking about how impossible this book is for some professions. For example,

I work in a library so the vast majority of my job is assisting patrons, shelving books,

attending committee meetings, and other things that cannot be done remotely. I love my job and I

don't have any desire to have a four hour work week, but it doesn't seem like the author acknowledges

these careers at all. If you are in a service position like me, how would you go about incorporating

the principles of this book into your work week? I mean, yeah, he definitely does acknowledge it

very much. When I worked in a service position, I would try to do things to make my life a little

easier, but like if your job is to help people, you have to interact with them. If your job is to
