The last Lambeth conference, kind of a doublet entendre in that title. Yeah, sure. It's the last one in the

sense that it's the most recent one, but the point really

was the last one we just had probably is the last final one that's going to take place within

the tradition of Lambeth conferences as they quickly evolved from the mid-19th century.

Well, okay, so 1867, I remember remembering correctly the first.

Yeah, excellent.

So give us the, what was the trajectory?

It took a while, didn't it for the, was it always planned to meet every 10 years or did that evolve in the late 19th century?

That wasn't immediate, but it was originally called at the behest of various bishops within the then pretty much British-oriented and engaged
