now an Orthodox priest serving at Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church in Lafayette,

So we'll go ahead and get started.

And when we get started in just a moment,

we'll be picking up at the beginning of chapter four of St. Paul's Epistle to the Ephesians.

And we'll do sort of a quick recap.

We're really at the pivot point of the epistle here.

Both in terms of its structure.

And as we mentioned last time when we ended, that's why there's a therefore here.

Right. St. Paul will lay out sort of theological teaching or reminders, instruction.

In the first part of his epistles, typically, then he'll mark it with a therefore and move to

the more practical side of applying that.

Here's why I was reminding you of all this because this is what needs to happen now in

your community or communities.

And so we're really at that pivot point in addition to being at about the halfway point

of this epistle.

And as we mentioned repeatedly now, but it's worth keeping in mind, even though it's called St. Paul's Epistle to the Ephesians, this isn't a letter he wrote

from somewhere else to the community just at Ephesus.

So you've said this is probably written at Ephesus and circulated in that community in the city,
