And with that, let's get into our study on Sunday mornings. We're going through the book of,

pardon me, Ephesians, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse. And today our text will be chapter five,

and just two verses again this week, verses three and four. So I'll ask you to stand if you're able. You can follow along as I read.

If not, that's all right where you're seated. Beginning in verse three where the apostle

Paul is writing by the Holy Spirit and says, but among you, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality or of any kind of impurity

or of greed because these are improper for God's holy people. Nor, verse four, should there be

obscenity, foolish talk, or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather Thanksgiving.

We need to pray. Would you pray with me and we'll ask God's blessing on our understanding.

Loving Heavenly Father,

will you help me to properly and appropriately teach the text that is before us this morning.

And Lord, will you also enable us by the Holy Spirit to give you our undivided attention so that there's no distraction that would keep us from what it is that you have for us today.

So, Lord, thank you.
