Guaranteed Human. The autistic kid confessed his love for me. Now the principal is pressuring me to go out with him. I want to say no. So am I the A-Hole? I know the title is going to make me seem like a bad person, but please hear me out. So I, Female 15, am in high school. There is a boy near my year. Let's call him Kyle. Kyle, male 15, has severe autism. He can't be in public spaces for a long time without a

meltdown, can't make eye contact, struggles with social cues, etc. Also to preface, I am not

ableist. I will never ever dislike someone just because they're artistic.

But I hate him. I'm kidding. So anyway, me and Kyle are in the same math class. I didn't choose math.

In the UK in high school, you have to do maths in English the whole time. And we sit next to

each other with his assistant teacher near to him in case he needs help. Kyle had for whatever

reason taken a liking to me

because he'll be your snack. You're a catch. Come on. He isn't a bad person and I'm sure he would be a

great boyfriend. However, I'm a lesbian. Oh boy. The plot thickens. The plot thickens. I also have a

girlfriend. The plot just got thicker I also have a girlfriend.

The plot just got thicker.

Wow.

Of nearly two years.

So I am not attracted to men in any way.

And obviously, Kyle is a guy.

So about how I got detention.

Just after class, Kyle decided it would be a good time to confess to me, as in basically asked me to be his girlfriend.

His assistant teacher was right next to me, so I had to watch my words. I politely declined saying I wasn't interested in relationships

right now. The reason I didn't just say I'm a lesbian or I have a girlfriend is because, one,

people in my school are pretty homophobic, so I prefer to keep it a secret to avoid bullying.

That sucks.
