EP99. Contractions come on quick. The couple rushes to the hospital. They are admitted right away. A few uncomfortable contraction later and she is pushing. After 3-5 screams, the baby pops out and the doctor puts them on the mother's chest. She starts sobbing. Cut to the scene where they are happily walking out of the hospital with their new baby. If only this was reality. The truth is, the overwhelming majority of birth stories do not play out like this. In this episode, Renee discusses the differences between what we see on TV vs. reality. | 1:13.3 | solo episode. Today I wanted to talk a little bit about how labor and delivery of a child, |

| 1:47.0 | and so on. And then just some ridiculous things that we always see on TV or in the movies when people |
| 1:53.5 | have babies. That is just not accurate in real life. I am recording this on Wednesday morning. Usually I record a few days ahead of when |
| 2:06.0 | the episode's going to be published, but because I went away on the weekend, I wasn't home on Monday, |
| 2:12.6 | and then yesterday I was just trying to catch up on a bunch of things, so I never had a chance to |

| 2:23.1 | it really doesn't take long to record the solo episode and then there's less editing to do so |
| 2:28.8 | it should be good after I get this up I am going to shower and get ready because I think we are going |
| 2:36.9 | to try and bring Milo for dinner somewhere. In Ontario, the patios are open at restaurants. So we |
| 2:44.2 | might go to a pub or, you know, a restaurant that has a nice patio and have dinner. So that's |
