Is drinking raw milk safe like RFK Jr. suggests? Can you reduce a glucose spike if you eat your food in, quote, unquote, the right order? I'm registered dietitian Abby Sharp. I host a nutrition myth-busting podcast called Bite Back with Abby Sharp. And those are just some of the questions I tackle with qualified experts on my show.

There is so much food misinformation and disinformation out there, and it can feel impossible

0:27.9

to know what's real and what's BS.

0:30.7

On Biteback, my goal is to help listeners create a pleasurable relationship with food,

0:35.3

their body, and themselves, which in my opinion is the

0:38.6

This podcast is brought to you by Podcast Nation. Welcome to the mom room room podcast. My name is Renee Rina and I am definitely the mom friend

1:08.5

you have always wanted. So today I am speaking with Heather Larson,

1:13.0

otherwise known as veganish mama on her blog and on Instagram. I've been following Heather for a long

1:39.2

veganish. And I feel like that could be the plot of a movie.

2:05.3

So I'm a mom. I have two little boys, a four-year-old, and now one-year-old. And we went plant-based

2:12.3

when my older son was about three and a half months old, when I was on mat leave from my job as a cheese

2:19.7

tester so I ran the Canadian test kitchen for like one of the largest dairy companies probably in the

2:25.9

world and I tasted mostly pizza all day long and I would like test cheese and how it melted on

2:32.8

pizza and how it tasted on pizza like 30 pizzas a day.

2:37.3

And that was my job. Yeah. And then I went on Mat leave and had to tell HR like, sorry, I can't come back to work because I've gone vegan.
