Summary

EP5. The exchange that lead to a blog post and now this podcast episode went something like this...

It was Sunday morning and Renee was on the couch enjoying her hot coffee. After about three minutes of this enjoyable moment, her son put his bottle right in her husband's coffee mug. It fit perfectly, of course. Right away her husband looked at her and said "babe, can you go grab some paper towel?" Now, usually she would jump up, go get paper towel and help clean up. But, out of nowhere, she said "no." Her husband looked shocked and said something along the lines of "are you serious?" Renee said "Yes! Just grab some kleenex. It is right beside you!"

To Renee's surprise, an overwhelming number of moms related to this exact situation. It can be frustrating when you continuously deal with difficult situations all day on your own and when your partner is home, they are asking you to help them with those same situations. Of course we want to help our partners, and they help us too. But, sometimes you just want them to feel the pain of dealing with these things alone, day after day.
