Summary

This week Eddie is in Kenya looking to find his game and learns that he will have to do so in the company of the Godfather of Kenyan professional golf. Iain returns with tales of German stag weekends in Budapest, while Andrew admits to entering a golf tournament but is vague on the details. The trio also review the weekend in La La Land and welcome back Hideki Matsuyama and Will Zalatoris while wondering if the PGA Tour is getting value for money. And also wonder if Jon Rahm has hairy feet.

It's time now for the chipping forecast, issued by Folding Pocket on behalf of Andrew Cotter, Eddie Pepperall and special guest Ian Carter.

0:32.9

Hello there again and welcome to the chipping forecast, the forecast of the sheeping.

0:34.2

A little bit later than ideally we like, but again it's due to the travel of two of our tramvirate, the Globe Trotters. Eddie Pet is back on tour this week and has flown out to Kenya. Eddie, Eddie looks like he's in some sort of, well, I mean, it does look post-colonial bedroom. Lots of rich mahogany there. You have many leatherbound books.

I fit right in, yeah.

0:57.4

No, it's fine.

0:59.6

Okay, good.

Eddie's review on TripAdvisor.

1:02.3

It's fine.

1:03.4

Is that your review for Budapest, Ian, our special guest back from Budapest.

1:07.2

How was Budapest for you?

1:08.9

Budapest was fantastic.

1:14.6

We'd go straight into an Ian recommends, no doubt about it. It was like a golf detox, Andrew. Didn't really think about golf, either playing it, covering it, or watching it for the entire weekend.

1:22.6

Had a lovely, nice, long weekend. A couple of incidents that kind of a bit pertinent to our discussion on

1:29.6

manners and that sort of thing that maybe we'd get into a bit later on. But overall, just amazing

1:35.5

architecture, the Danube just cutting a sway through the most magnificent city. You could walk

everywhere. Went into the thermal baths as well, spent a day

1:46.7

there just sort of shriveling up like a prune, but it was just so relaxing, real chill.

1:51.0

Is it one of those continental baths where clothes are not recommended and you bounded in?

1:57.9

Well, you wear, you wear swimwear. Oh, right, okay, that's perfectly acceptable then. Yes, no, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed Budapest until the COVID struck. But did you go to see King St. Stephen's withered, mummified hand, the relics of St. Stephen? No, I didn't actually. I didn't see that. But yes, I remember you talking about that. And I mean, you must have had a great time that until you got COVID. It's impossible not to have a good time there, I think.

2:22.9

It is possible not to have a good time. If you are as miserable and grumpy as I am, apparently, it's not, no, it's as beautiful. It is everything you describe. It's an amazing city, both Buddha and pest.

2:32.8

And Andrew, I must apologize to you because I kind of enveloped you into my own sort of
