We’re rambling! Naz doesn’t get why it’s so hard to sleep comfortably in the same bed as someone else. 0:31.4	Yeah, so you find you end up bonding with people and becoming, like, choosing your friends

0:40.0	So this effect may be due to a concept called social homophiliy or the idea that individuals
0:45.2	form bonds based on shared characteristics, many of which can be tracked back to genetics.
0:49.6	But there may also be a second phenomenon at work, according to the paper, social structuring
0:53.7	or the idea that people are drawn to others in their social environment, whatever.
0:57.2	But the examples they give, certain socially meditative traits, like educational attainment,
1:03.9	body mass index, were particularly alike among friends, while those without a strong interpersonal
1:09.5	dimension, such as height, were less likely to match up.
1:12.8	Overall, the researchers found that friends were more genetically similar than random pairs
