In the news recently, there's been a lot of talk about a government bill banning conversion therapy.

The government has outlined legislation which would ban conversion therapy intended to change someone's sexual orientation.

The bill aims to stop abhorrent practices, abhorrent practices which do not work and cause extensive harm and protect

people's freedom to love who they want.

Conversion therapy is the use of methods such as aversive stimulation or religious

counseling to change or suppress a person's sexual orientation.

I'm actually so shocked that it's still not illegal.

It seems so weird to me, but I'll find out more about it now.

The government placed to end conversion therapy in 2018 under Theresa May.

Though I understand it, I still not gone through, and I think that's why people are talking about it a lot.
