It's time now for the chipping forecast, issued by Folding Pocket on behalf of Andrew Cotter, Eddie Pepperall and special guest Ian Carter. Hello and welcome to the chipping forecast.

Chipping forecast come thick and fast at the moment at the Ryder Cup, one yesterday, one today, like the daily, shipping forecast, steering you through choppy waters of the Ryder Cup.

Choppy waters technically again, so we're doing our very best here.

Ian Carter and I, our special guest, are huddled together, actually for warmth because

the air conditioning is cranked up in the media centre here at Marcus Simony.

But more importantly, because for some reason, I was in a booth about 10 feet away and my internet didn't work very well. And you seem to have better internet than me. So we are together and sharing a microphone. Hello, Babine. Hello, Andrew. Yeah. So maybe it's just your laptop. I don't know. But anyway, we're here. We're talking. And where are the Rider Cup? Eddie's here as well, but not here. Not in here. here. So, I mean, this is absurd, isn't it? We're just, I mean, flaring a microphone back between one another. And Eddie is there. Look at Eddie, chuckling away. He's energized after his trip to Ibiza Good. And how are you, Eddie? You're at home and all systems go? I don't know the name of the band, but I remember Top of the Pops 25 years ago, and there was two pants-a-mish-looking guys who used to share a microphone. I think they were blonde that you might know who they were called, and you just reminded me of them there. Actually, very funny. Two guys who used to share a microphone, two blonde guys in the 80s. If you can remember who two blonde people were in the 1980s, get in touch. Pet Shop Boys apparently, no. It was later than that.

I'm saying it was in the 90s. I wasn't alive in the 80. It would have been the late 90s.

Oh, are you talking about bross? No. Could be bross. Jedward. Right.

Yeah, tweed. Anyway, right. Okay. well, we'll get on to all such matters,

Rider Cup and invariably some silliness.

Just some serious and sad news in golf that the greatest,

I think the greatest British amateur golfer of all time,

a golf administrator for Sir Michael Bonnallag died yesterday.

We got that news.

Five times the English amateur champion, five times

the amateur champion, nine times a Walker Cup player. And he was secretary of the irony, I think

what we now called chief executive throughout the 80s and 90s. Last month, he managed to make it

to the opening ceremony for the Walker Cup. And we, I mean, all 75 past Walker Cup players were there, but we gave him special mention.

And the ovation that he got was long and loud.

And it was very, very touching indeed.

We, we have, we knew Michael reasonably well.
