This is your host Taylor and I am so thrilled about today's guest.

She is the author of a book coming out called transects clinical approaches to transsexualities

and erotic embodiments.

She also taught my course at Modern Sex Therapy Institute for my PhD in clinical

sexology and the whole presentation was so amazing.

I was just like we've got to get her on the podcast and share more of this information

and share some of the things that really like caused me to sit back and reflect and

really kind of change my approaches both professionally and personally kind of going

forward in life which obviously takes time and is things I'm going to have to practice

that daily but I'm so excited to introduce you all to Lucy Fieldme.

She is a white queer non-binary femme and a resident in counseling, practicing in Charlottesville.

She received her masters in counseling psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute.

She also holds a PhD in French from Northwestern University where she specialized in 18th

century literature, histories of sexuality and erotic literature.

Her background in literature and history attunes her to the many ways that image, metaphor,

and cultural scripts shape and inform the narratives that we carry with us.

As we move throughout the world as well as to how these narratives inscribes themselves

on our bodies.

Our bodies carry so, so, so, so much.

I honestly had such a blast learning from Lucy in my class so I am just absolutely thrilled

to have her on the podcast today.
