Summary
Today I'm talking with fellow LDS Life Coach Kim Giles of Clarity Point Coaching. Kim's teachings were one of the first I discovered when I began my own journey as a coach and I am thrilled to get to share her with you today. We dive into the idea that life is a test and Kim explains that while doctrinally this is correct, in reality life is actually a classroom.

| 2:10.0 | So I'll see in Salt Lake if you're coming. I'm totally excited. Now, today on the podcast, I have such a special treat for you because I was able to talk to Kim Giles earlier this week. |
| 2:23.0 | So let me tell you who Kim Giles is for those of you who don't know. And let me back up by just telling you how I found Kim Giles before I ever became a life coach, but I was interested in this work. I was studying this work. I was actually very obsessed with this work. |
| 2:42.0 | And I noticed as I studied and learned this work, how it aligned with what I believed religiously with the doctrine of the Mormon church. And I kept scratching my head. Why has nobody put these together before? Why is there nobody talking about how the tools that I'm learning in the world of life coaching are the application for the doctrine that were taught at church. |
| 3:11.0 | And then I overheard somebody say something about LDS life coach. And I was like, wait a second. There's an LDS life coach. There are LDS life coaches. Who knew? So I went to Google, which is where you go, right? And I googled LDS life coach and Kim Giles and her business clarity point coaching came up. |
| 3:31.0 | And so I was able to learn everything. Oh, well, I don't know if I know everything, but I have studied a lot of Kim's work. I've read her book many times. I've spoken with her. I listened to a lot of audio recordings of her teaching. And she is just a beautiful brilliant teacher. And she's an active member of the LDS church. And so she ties the two together. And I know that is what some of you like about this podcast. So I wanted to bring Kim on and invite you all to hear her message. |
| 4:00.0 | So I'm going to stop talking. I'm going to turn it over to the interview. Enjoy you guys. And thanks again to Kim for coming on the show. All right. Here you go. |
| 4:10.0 | So to begin with, why don't you just tell her what you are and what you do. |
| 4:16.0 | Okay. I'm a master coach and a speaker and author. I got into this role on kind of a weird path. I actually studied computer technology in school. I got married and moved away never even finished school. So I don't have a degree in anything. |
| 4:38.0 | And about 15 years ago, I found myself a single mom and I needed to support myself. And I had no training that was even relevant because everything I'd studied in computers was obsolete now. |
