but you need more help than just trying to do this on your own.

He also told his CEO about getting sober, and telling our bosses or colleagues that we're

struggling with alcohol is a huge scare for so many people and totally valid.

We're very black or white people, you know, and probably assume that needing treatment is a reason that we need to be fired. You know that we're an alcoholic or

whatever word you want to use and that we just deserve to be canned. And I can't

stress this to you enough. That's not the case. If you're in a place with

your drinking where you need to take the time off work to go get healthy, that's

worth talking to somebody about. You might be surprised at one how supportive your work people might be and two that you

have protection from FMLA. The Family Medical Leave Act laws, they vary state by state.

So this is something you're going to need to do your own research on.

Start with googling it or ask your HR person, but saying I'm having trouble with my health
