a very necessary and long overdue movement.

To start with, I apparently need to say that I'm going to say the

phrase Black Lives Matter and that's not in reference to the organization by the

same name, not that I don't support them, but I'm saying that yes,

Black Lives Matter, period.

Based on the conversations I've had in the past two weeks, I have to say that this episode does actually have

something to do with recovery and trauma but I wish I didn't have to say that first.

I wish I could just say hey I think it's terrible that people are unnecessarily dying

and you'd all agree and we could work together.

But I've encountered a surprising amount of people who have very vocally resisted this conversation

and expressed their disappointment in me that I'm speaking up.

They don't want an interruption in their recovery journey.

Some say that this topic doesn't belong in recovery,

that it's too political, that it's not convenient to them.

And that's some of what we're going to talk about with Chris here in a little bit.
