today. We got a loaded show for you. We're going to talk a little about Illinois football recruiting, get two commitments so far from the official visit weekend that they just had.

We got to talk about women's basketball getting two big transfer commitments in the back court

and on the wing there, Joey. But also we got to talk about the transfer portal window

has opened in the spring. I wrote that I thought this could be a quiet week,

but boy, it did not start off very quiet. There's always surprises. You can never be too

comfortable when it comes to the transfer portal, as we know with basketball, but even with

football and Brett B.m. West program, and I think this is a pretty surprising move. Josh

McCrae enters the transfer portal. We'll talk about that.

We'll talk about some potential transfer needs.

But Joey, when you saw the report from On 3 that Josh McCray said he was entering

the portal, what was your reaction?

Yeah, I was really surprised.

There's a lot of an unpack with this before we move on, but Brett Beal and his first high

school recruit, the relationship between those two has been really well documented,

you know, the injuries and sticking through kind of everything that the last few years

was for them, his big breakthrough again.

I didn't see this coming.

I thought, in a way, like that, again, everything

we say, it needs to be unpacked a little bit. Running back room, the running back room has

four players who are ready to play, right? So I, attrition out of that room makes sense. I get it. Like,

you can't, it's hard to keep four guys happy with what you can offer. So if you would have told me a back who was going to transfer, like, okay, I get that. I understand what's on the table. I just didn't know that it would be Josh McCrae, just given, he was going into his final year, everything that, you know, he and Brett Bielma had built and being a part of this program's rise together. But when you zoom back a little bit and zoom out a little bit and think about it, Josh McCrae is probably going to get a nice paycheck, you know, a pretty nice paycheck from his next place. Is he an NFL guy? I don't know. This is a chance to go somewhere. Maybe he's going to get promised to, you know, being that one or two
