Summary
Transitioning a toddler from two naps to one is a daunting task, and this week Laura and Shanna discuss their attempts at dropping the second nap. They also talk about the RIE approach to picking up babies and how quickly a parent can become accustomed to the seemingly bizarre practice. Also, in the special segment “Big Topic,” Shanna and Laura dive into self-care, which can easily take a back seat once children enter the picture. The new moms ask themselves how they are succeeding and failing at self-care and how they can improve in prioritizing their own needs. Finally, they reveal their BFPs and BFNs for the week. Shanna’s toddler is 14 months and two weeks old, and Laura’s toddler is 13 months and three weeks old.

| 1:23.5 | Like his molars are definitely coming in or his pre-molars or whatever you call him on the left side. |
| 1:29.9 | And I don't know what part of it is the nap and what part of it is the teething, but he's woken up at least once, I mean, really once per night for the last like three nights. |
| 1:43.3 | Does he need help when he wakes up at night? Yeah. Not every. He doesn't usually, but these nights he has. Like so that's been a bit of a discouraging. I was like, oh no, did we switch too soon? But I've decided I need to give him a full week of, you know, one nap to see if he settles. And so we're going to give him a full week. I'm not |
