Abby Chipmunk woke up from a sound sleep, curled up snugly in her cozy burrow. Even from inside the hole, she could feel the cold air seeping in from outside. Ahway Island was well into winter by now, and Abby was grateful that she had her burrow to keep her warm through the chilly nights. A big yawn escaped Abby’s tiny mouth, and she stretched all four of her paws.
Suddenly, there was a deep rumbling sound. Abby blinked in surprise and then giggled as she realized her own stomach had made the noise. It was time for breakfast!
Today’s Meditation: Imagine drawing gentle shapes in the soothing sand as you relax before today's story.
