Will Notre Dame remain independent through conference expansion?

Will if Notre Dame wants to clap back after their all-time winning coach bolted for the juggernaut

that is the SEC, the Irish deciding to join the SEC as well would be epic on so many

levels.

Now Notre Dame is without a doubt the prettiest girl at the dance regarding teams left

out there that could possibly join a conference with their tradition, their following, and

that juicy TV contract.

Notre Dame could go from ducking the smoke to helping create the smoke with one quick decision.

Imagine that first game Notre Dame and LSU in Death Valley, or maybe LSU rolling up

the South Bend in front of touchdown Jesus and everybody.

The up-and-coming superstar coach Marcus Freeman trying to defend Notre Dame's honor against

the CEO that is Brian Kelly, the Catholics versus the Catholics.

Now, if this were to happen, I firmly believe that within a 10-year span Notre Dame and LSU

could be a top five rivalry in the sport.

Now geographically, it does make sense for Notre Dame to join the Big 10, but we can

all agree the regional component of a conference is out the window considering USC and UCLA are

gonna be playing in a conference that you need at least two layovers to reach by plane.

Now I want to hear from the Notre Dame fans.
