Saga and Marshall here welcome back to the realignment.

I'm more excited about this bottoms-up approach than a top-down approach, you know, via regulation,

because, you know, our political system doesn't really have the political will nor the technical

competence to regulate effectively.

And what happens with the concern is that you might regulate in a way that makes incumbents

really stronger. And what we've seen in the past is that the bottoms-up approach has typically

been better. Microsoft is wrapped at IBM, the next wave of tech giants is wrapped with

a Microsoft, and hopefully decentralized companies will disrupt Google and Facebook.

the way it's going. And there are people who are a little skeptical of that, especially back in 2019.

After last week with the news about parlor, Amazon Web Services, I don't think there's anyone

in the audience who no longer believes we don't have to cover both the tech industry with people

who actually work on it while also covering politics the way we did with Eric Weinstein.
