What we've got to do is recognize our time isn't yet and we're on the doorstep of our

time and we have to get there. So what I would say to those young people is, don't screw

up your future playing in the present while the present is unraveling. Better to forego

it, take a few years, you're not going to get there necessarily. Maybe this whole thing

blows up before you ever get there in which case I'm sorry, but your best bet is not to

play in the present.

This week we're very excited to welcome back to the podcast Dr. Eric Weinstein. You guys

own our Eric Weinstein. We'll keep the introduction short and sweet. As we promise you

last week and in our Realignment Substack, we've been thinking a lot about how to grapple

with the recent Capitol chaos and the riots that we saw on Capitol Hill. How can we bring

this country together in light of these calls for impeachment in light of Trump getting

banned from Twitter in light of every terrible thing. An officer died. You see it everywhere

and it seems that things are just coming at you constantly and that it's about division,

division, division. And Eric is one of those people truly in his heart who wants to bring

this country together is thinking about how can we actually do that? He pulls no punches

in this interview for our leadership class, for everybody in Washington that got us to

where we are today, to the media. And it was just really cathartic personally having

this conversation with him amidst all of the chaos that we have in our society right

now. Yeah. And the best part about Eric is he's

able to offer a really, really, really insisive critique of the system in our leadership

class while at the same time, not just promoting nihilism, which is the worst thing. It's
