Moonlight Magic Excerpt:
It was bedtime on Ahway Island, and James was tucked snugly under his yellow blanket. Despite the night light on the wall, moonlight poured in through the window, casting long shadows on the ceiling.  James stared up at them with wide eyes. They were moving back and forth, and that made James feel a bit nervous.  They looked like wings flapping.

The shadows reminded James of the time he and his sister Julia had gone camping in their backyard. That night, a big tree had cast a long shadow over their tent. James had been scared until Julia made her own shadow even bigger – so big it had covered up the scary one. That had made him laugh, and after that, the shadows didn’t seem so bad.
Today’s Meditation: Imagine floating on a cloud, and relax into the feeling of lightness.

Hello, Aweigh Islanders. We're so glad you're here. Let's see if you have everything you want to be calm on Awe Island. Are the lights in your room dim or off? Do you have your favorite blanket or listening buddy? Before we begin our story,

let's relax by taking a nice, deep, dragon breath. Breathe in through your nose, filling up your lungs,

and then out through your mouth, imagining you are breathing fire like a dragon. Ready?

Deep breath in and out. Good job. Good job.

Today, we're going to relax our entire bodies.

First, wiggle all your toes, and then squeeze your toes together tight.

Now relax them. Then lift your leg up just a little and let it float back down.

Now lift your other leg just a little and let it float back down.

Let's take another deep dragon breath in and out.

Next squeeze both your hands into tight fists, and then release them.
