Summary

With the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial back in the news, Laura discusses the case with attorney, advocate and best-selling New York Times author Rabia Chaudry. Laura asks Rabia her legal perspective about the Depp/Heard case and both discuss the Bot Sentinel Report, published after the trial, which found evidence of organized and targeted online attacks on Amber Heard and other women including themselves as well why and how so many got this case completely wrong. Both Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have notified the court that they plan to appeal their respective verdict. Both parties have until 5th September 2022 to file their official appeals. This case is not over yet but perhaps the tide is slowly turning. In Part 1 of this interview, Laura asks Rabia about the latest developments in Hae Min Lee and Adnan Syed’s case. 0:06.0	Two months after Heard was found libel of defaming Depp in a highly publicized courtroom battle in Virginia,
0:13.0	more than 6,000 pages of pretrial documents were unsealed and made public,
0:18.0	shedding light on matters that attorneys for both sides wanted to exclude from the jury.
0:23.0	Here are four of the biggest bombshells.
0:25.0	In court documents obtained and reviewed by the Daily Beast and the New York Post,

1:03.0	A text exchange alleged to be between Depp and longtime friend Marilyn Manson from 2016

1:12.0	in which the controversial singer referred to now-wife Lindsay Yusick as, quote,
1:18.0	According to Newsweek, Depp's attorneys sought to exclude his texts with Manson from the trial.
1:23.0	In unsealed court documents reviewed by Page Six and Newsweek, Heard's lawyers alleged
1:28.0	that the 21 Jump Street alum suffered from erectile dysfunction,
1:32.0	and that, quote, such condition absolutely is relevant to sexual violence,
1:36.0	including Mr. Depp's anger and use of a bottle to rape Amber Heard.
