Hey folks, welcome to the adventure sports podcast. Today we are talking to Renata Chalmska, who has done some pretty wild things renata is a connection

And Renata's story is wild.

Unfortunately, it started, you know, with the death of her partner and a fellow very accomplished

climber and adventurer uh this specific story that has started with that passing away this was a

dream of both of them to do a circumnavigation of the u.s by by bike and by kayak. And it's such a random idea, such a

unique idea. I thought it would be a really interesting story to talk about. But Renata has done

so many other types of adventures. In fact, she was the first Swedish and Czech woman to climb

Mount Everest. So she was, you know, she's done some huge, huge projects.

But this one was so unique because it was such a long journey.

So many miles, so much time started and ended in Seattle and just literally hugged the

U.S., whether that be in water, if the border was a river,

like the Rio Grande, uh, or against the oceans, or bite when there was, you know,

the border was actually on land, say like the Canadian U.S. border in parts of Mexico.

So the story just, I mean, it's so unique.

You're the only person doing something like this when you're

out on an adventure like this. And so it was great to talk to Renata and to hear about this trip

that she did quite a few years ago, 2005, 2006, and her future aspirations of becoming an astronaut.
