All right, it's time to wrap up our position previews here on the Alignquire podcast,

and we end with the back end of the defense part that really,

really struggled. It's Jeremy Warner, Joey Wagner. Welcome into the Alana Enquirer podcast,

and Joey, the linebackers, I thought were a bright spot later in the season, but did struggle

early, particularly against Kansas and Devin Neal and Jalen Daniels, which can't really hold

that against them getting

thrown in the fire like that.

But the defensive backfield, after losing all that talent, certainly, certainly struggled.

So this is a group that needs to take a step forward.

But I think on paper, there should be some optimism that they will improve.

The question is, how much will they improve?

Yeah, I think you look at what they'd done in the transfer portal,

obviously with their additions of Terrence Brooks, with Tori Cox,

you get Matthew Bailey, presumably back healthy.

Matthew Bailey would have been a huge transfer portal addition

if you added him off of another roster.

So to get him back in healthy's huge

and bret beelman knows this group needs to take a step forward he made a coaching change in the

off season to do that firing Antonio finelis after one year i did see last night jeremy that

antonio finales is in some capacity on staff at virginia at least a photo of him in the virginia

quarter zipped then he brings in corey parker who's a guy who's capacity on staff at Virginia, at least a photo of him in the Virginia.
