Okay, so the average price of gas in the United States is $4.24 a gallon, according

to this story.

That's about 48% higher than it was last year.

Now there are some good news coming because of that, I know a decent chunk of that cost

comes from state and federal taxes.

So some states, at least a handful of them are trying to make things better.

Georgia is suspending its gas tax of $0.29 per gallon until the end of May.

Connecticut is suspending its $0.25 a gallon tax until June 30, Maryland's $0.36.1

per gallon tax will be suspended through mid-April and Florida is going to suspend its

$0.25 tax beginning in October.

So that's good news, right?

I mean, if you're in Connecticut, you're only going to be spending $3.99 a gallon if

it were the same price today.

It could be lower.

I mean, oil prices fell after China began its two-stage lockdown of Shanghai with the

B.A. 0.2 Omicron variant rearing its ugly head.

Just think about how low prices are going to be if we could just get China to lock down

more cities, you know, just something to think about.

Oh, and I forgot to mention Washington State has set a target date to end gas car sales

by 2030.

You won't even need gasoline in Washington State in eight years.
