Welcome back to the Curious podcast. My name is Josh Pax and I'm your host and your name is

listener. And that's what you do. You listen. Hey, we're getting through the holidays, aren't we?

This fucking hellscape of a holiday, Bermuda triangle that we find ourselves

smack dab in the middle of, right? Because you got, you got, I mean, you have Thanksgiving and then

you got Christmas and then you got New Year's and that makes a triangle. It's actually, you know,

in theory a box because you throw Hanukkah and or Halloween in there and shit gets weird and

what's it going to become a fucking Pentagon? That's five sides, right? I think that is.

You know, like, no, it's, we'll just keep it a triangle for argument sake. But let me tell you,

it's a weird time of year and I, you know, I live in Southern California and so you don't really

feel the holidays as much. I mean, you know, they're said they're dead, there's a fair amount of

reverie in the air, you know, the the smellings of of of of chickory and mulling spice and

peppermint mocha in the air, you know, I mean, it feels nice. I'm actually on a street right now

looking at some trees that have actually changed colors and what is basically a man made city

in the middle of a desert. Let's be honest, that's what Los Angeles is. I mean, you drive out of the,

you drive out of sort of the major sort of 30 mile radius of Los Angeles and you're like,

oh, I mean, I'm in the desert. I'm this I weird, we're not meant to be here actually. This is not

an area that probably was, you know, built to support life and yet. What's going on guys?

I don't know, is this, you know, I would imagine it's the third week or the second and a half

week for most people of December and then I would imagine most people are going to get the week off

starting the 23rd and on. Maybe you're going to get two weeks off for new years. Maybe if you work
