Today we'll be telling the story of St. Clair of Assisi, whose feast is celebrated on August 11th.

St. Clair was born on July 16, 1194.

Claire was born to a very wealthy family

and her mother was also a very devout Catholic.

When she was 18 years old, St Claire

The little group of women, which was continually increasing in size, was known as the poor ladies of San Diemiano, and after St. Clair's death, they were renamed the poor Clairs after their foundress.
