here. Talking about Obamacare today. It's back in the news. A lot of people are arguing very passionately about it because they're fearful that it will be repealed. And this will have terrible consequences for everybody. That's the story. Well, what's the real truth? Joining us is our old friend, Bob Murphy, who co-hosts the Contra Krugman podcast with me at

as you know. The one that is most relevant to today's topic is his co-authored book, The Primal Prescription,

which is just an outstanding book from a libertarian perspective on health care. But Bob has just

written so many things. It's hard to keep track of

them all at this point. He holds a PhD in economics from New York University, and I'm very glad to

welcome him back to the show. Bob, thanks for being here. Glad to be here, Tom. Always glad to have

you on the show. We're talking about Obamacare again, and it's in the news because, of course, we have a new president coming in, and he's talked about repealing and replacing Obamacare.

So people are talking about it. And progressives are saying, and these are the same progressives who were disappointed with Obamacare because it didn't go far enough, are saying we can't get rid of it. It's done so much good. And a lot of these Trump supporters who are working class people are the ones who are going to suffer the most from the repeal of Obamacare. So it's like they have false consciousness in supporting a guy who wants to take their health care away from them. What is the matter with these people? That's been the narrative we've heard an awful lot in the

media. And then there was this article. Well, can we just stop on that for a minute, Tom?

Yeah, let's do that. What's funny, I mean, so they kind of have the cognitive dissonance there.

I mean, they know full well. They can't be claiming, oh,

Trump told you he was going to expand the ACA, but actually he's a liar. You can't trust one thing

of that guy's. I mean, they know full well. Trump won the election, large, you know, among other

things by saying, we're going to get rid of this awful health care thing that Obama gave you. So, you know, they can say now Trump
