Welcome to Raising Good Humans. I'm Dr. Alisa Pressman and today we are talking about puberty.

So we're not just talking about ideas about puberty. We're going really deep into how to

approach conversations with kids from the earliest ages through adolescence. We're talking about

language that you can use if you're struggling to find the right words. We're talking about

different kinds of questions and logistics that have come across my guests seminars.

My guest is Vanessa Crowell Bennett, who's the founder of Dynamo Girl, which is a company

focused on building girl self-esteem through physical activity and puberty education.

She is awesome and has fantastic language and support for kids and parents

to really make this whole puberty thing less overwhelming, more explicit, and minus all of the shame.

So this starts pretty early. If you have babies, this is still really, really relevant.

I know that's hard to believe, but we'll get into why. And certainly if you have kids who are

eight, nine, 10, 11, 12, definitely listen up. And hopefully this gives you some concrete

tools and tips for having really important conversations and messages in your household.
